In Room 20, We Have Fun!

As a way of wrapping up our second grade Poetry Unit, I decided that putting together a class poem and creating a digital story would just what the students need.  I'm so happy that my students were able to experience the art of digital storytelling because they LOVED the result.

So, here it is...I hope you enjoy it as much as my class and I did!

  1. Clever way to combine a unit of poetry with students reviewing their school day activities. In addition, several communication skills are illustrated--writing, poetry, drawing, speaking.

  2. If only time didn't get the better of me, I would have loved to introduce our poetry unit during national poetry month! Your kiddos did a FANTASTIC job describing their day-to-day happenings through poetry...I noticed that many were using good expression and phrasing as they read aloud. Activities that attach writing, reading, listening, and speaking are a must in the primary grades! A very creative and meaningful use of digital stories.
